The state of Michigan has two national coastal reserves and the only national marine reserve in the Great Lakes, the National Marine Reserve of Thunder Bay. You can practice the campsites, visit wildlife refuges, 99 state parks and recreation areas extending along and through its extensive forests. Besides having great rivers and streams with a career long coastline of over one hundred public beaches, spectacular multicolored sandstone cliffs, some of the highest dunes in the world freshwater.
